RedRock won big at the IBD Africa Beer Awards!

The IBD is the International Association of Brewers and Distillers, based in London. It is one of the main training and certification bodies for both Brewers and Distillers worldwide.

RedRock won 1st Place in the following categories at the IBD Africa Beer Awards:
Best Lager (below 5% ABV) Rusty Trigger Lager
Best Dark Beer Painted Black Dark lager

The IBD Africa Awards therefore judge beer from all over Africa, including both the very big international brewers as well as small craft breweries. The majority of the judges are themselves Master Brewers.

The primary judging criteria is taste and drinkability and our 2 beers, Rusty Trigger Lager and Painted Black Dark Lager, have done exceptionally well by winning best beer in their respective categories.

Congratulations to Alan and his team! These awards are testament to not just the brewing of the beer but the high and rigorous packaging standards we have at the RedRock brewery.

Pictured receiving the Best Lager under 5% award are Matthew Monteiro, our Brewer, and Mkateko Maluleka, our Production Manager.

The RedRock Brewing Company is certified with the FSSC22000 certification for Food Safety by the BSI
